I turn 50 in January & I’ve decided I’m going to go back to Taos, New Mexico for a week-long artist retreat.
When I did this in Sept. 2017, it was such an inspiring trip and I came home refreshed & so excited about my art.
It’s been a wonderful year, but the amount of time & energy I’ve had to devote to my art practice has been less than I’d like. It’s not been for lack of interest, but other very important things have taken priority (taking care of my dad & organizing a charity golf tournament for Youth Unlimited). Both of these have made me a better person and I know the results will be reflected in my paintings.
As a matter of fact, I’m truly excited about a new series that I started this Winter. “Angels Among Us” is what I’m calling the series.
I started seeing Angels in my paintings – not mountains or oceans, but Angels! I’m so intrigued by these new works and I can’t wait to see what they lead to.
I’d love to hear from you — what’s been inspiring you lately? What challenges have you had to overcome?
